These are the doors in the Glory facade in the Sagrada Familia, Barcelona, Spain. In the centre is the Lord’s Prayer – written in Catalan. The surrounding words are “Give us this day our daily bread” written in 50 different languages.

The Lord’s prayer (aka Pater Noster or Our Father) is a central prayer in Christianity. It appears in the Gospel in Matthew as part of the Sermon on the Mount and in the Gospel of Luke which records Jesus being approached by one of his disciples, with a request to teach them to pray as John taught his disciples. The petition “Give us this day our daily bread” implies our dependance on God for the supply of our wants.
