We used to play this game at school.
One person is the letter-picker. The letter-picker stands with their back to the rest of the players who stand 10 metres away. The letter-picker shouts a letter of the alphabet. If a player’s name contains that letter the player can move a step forward. The number of steps forward depends on the number of that letter in their name. The letter-picker continues calling out letters until someone reaches the letter-picker
I used to love this game! I had three A’s in my full name – which meant that I would take three happy steps towards the finishing line. Sadly that letter was the least called out – so I did not win that often!
But guess which letters were used and are not in this post…?
