The land of the rising sun

The land of the rising sun

My journey most recent journey was to Japan.

It was excellent!

I went with my lovely boyfriend who was most excellent company and so practical, I would not have wanted to travel with anybody else.

We decided that we wanted to travel somewhere far flung in February this year. There were options but Japan seemed to most interesting, different and safest place. Although it should be known that I was initially apphrensive about the whole thing – worries about earthquakes, tsumanis, radiation and North Korean antics. However I am glad I parked these fears by the road side and left my comfort zone. We spent three days in Tokyo and three days in Kyoto and enjoyed every minute  of it.

What did we do?
We saw shrines, temples, beautiful gardens, tall buildings and ate the tastiest food ever!

And the most common activity? People watching and comparing to life in Japan to life at home in London.
It’s funny the little things you notice…
Would I go back again?
Definitely!
What did I learn?
Do your thing, live your life and be kind to people along the way.

It is beautiful.. I’ve never had the desire to travel to Asia, but each time I look at pictures of travels there, I get inspired… I may have to plan a vacation to Japan soon… Thanks for sharing…
