THIS WEEK, IN A POST CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHOW US AN IMAGE THAT SAYS REFLECTION.
It could be a person who helps you see things clearly, a place you go to collect your thoughts, or an object that reminds you of your achievements. You could also go for something more literal, like a reflection in water. Or something that demonstrates both interpretations of the word.
I went to a paediatric meeting 2 years ago in lieu of an impeding hospital merger. The ice-breaker question was “where is your favourite place in the world?” . As I listened to names and places of sun, sea and general ‘exotic-ness’ my stomach started churning when my turn was getting closer.
“Hyde Park” , I whispered
Of all the places in the world…
However it truly is one of my favourite places to be
I am a little more travelled 24 months down the line but I still love walking around this park.
It is the place that I go to think and be myself and by myself.
To turn things over in my mind.
To walk and marvel.
To escape.
Imagine my delight and surprise on November weekend in 2010 when I stumbled across this structure.
I stood for a very long time and just stared.
