A todos nos gusta volar…?

Not all would agree…

However in the past two years I have taken my fair share of flights – Japan, Andorra, Switzerland and Spain – and I think I have overcome my fear of flying.

The first time I ever set foot on a plane I was 14 years of age and travelling to Ellewangen for the school German exchange. I did not know what to expect but all I remember was that I hated the flight – well specifically the take offs and the landings. I spent the whole week worrying about the flight home and perhaps didn’t enjoy the trip as much as I should have done. My anxieties were compounded by the fact that when I landed a week later back in London, I could not hear a thing!

I have since moved on from there and I think I take it all my stride. I saw this poster at Malaga airport and could not pass through the departure gates without taking a picture. I now equate  flying with freedom, opportunity and adventure. A means to escape and explore.

It’s nice…

Come fly with me, let’s fly, let’s fly away
