Yak Yeti Yak

on

This weekend, my partner and I drove off to Bath. What a beautiful city (more pictures to follow), I cannot quite believe that in all my years of living in England I have never been there!

Anyway, needless to say, we had a wonderful weekend.

Another restaurant…

This time Google directed us to a Nepalese restaurant Yak Yeti Yak. This looked promising from the get go – with the low tables and cushions as seats and the mountaineering equipment adorning the wall (an absolute delight for my outdoors orientated partner).  We  were not going to be disappointed.

Starters: cheese balls. Very cheesy and very tasty.

Cheese Balls – golden crispy fried cheese ball served with sweet achar

The pork dish was nice but the pork was a tiny bit dry.

Pork Sag Aloo – pork slow cooked in its own juices with potato spinach and coriander

This lentil dish was delicious – mild, smooth and so so comforting.

Maasko Dal – black lentils simmered with mild spices, refried with herb infused ghee

Refreshing bottle of ginger beer to wash it all down with.

All in all – a lovely evening. Lovely staff – pleasant, helpful and chatty. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.
