Anchored in the present

Easter Saturday another chilled out day. We took a trip to Hove to look at rugs and toys.

I did not buy a rug. I will need to discuss with the other half but toys were bought.

My sister loves a shop called Velvet on Church Street in Hove. I understand why it’s so cute.

I left there with an a necklace and matching earrings, a yellow scarf and a cheesy fridge magnet.

In yellow mode…

Then we trooped home and ate a delicious chicken curry.

This evening I have been curled up on the sofa with my sister and I have caught up on the end of season 4 and the beginning of season 5 of Scandal with toasted and buttered hot cross buns.

It has been a nice two days. I have allowed my younger sister to take care of me. I have allowed myself to enjoy being an aunt without thinking about my own issues. I have anchored myself in the present. I am not looking back at the past and for now I am not worrying about the future.
