Healing can come in many different forms. It can involve acknowledging the different kinds of pain that life throws at us. Acknowledging and allowing ourselves to feel the fullest depth of the pain. It can involve not running away from the pain. Sometimes you have to swim in the pain, explore it, embrace it, experience. How else will you know what you are capable of handling. It can involve telling somebody just what you are going through. Sometimes just hearing yourself articulate just what is happening, just how you feel, can be the best thing in the world. It can involve being kind to yourself. It can involve practicing – self-compassion, self-care and self-respect, holding yourself kindly. It is one of the best things we can do for ourselves
