Day three of our Swiss adventures…
Breakfast of porridge with honey and strawberries and raspberries for my sisters and I.
We managed to chillout in the flat until after midday – me reading ‘Marriage Material’ by Sathnam Sanghera and my sisters either watching television or washing up in the kitchen.
We took the tram 1 to Bahnhoff SBB with a vague plan to take the train to Strasbourg. However at the prices quoted and the time available we decided we would take a walk around Basel instead.
First stopping for a little pastry – apple and cinnamon doughnut
Then we slowly made our way to Klien-Basel and eventually back to the flat in a 3 hour long meander through town.
We stopped again for hot chocolate and a toasted sandwich in at Fruhling a cafe on the ‘famous’ Klybeckstrasse.
Today’s photo challenge was indeed the colour purple.

I am not sure what the photo challenge will be tomorrow, either the colour green or parallel lines.
